Q. It seems like the Uprightsleeper is too large for my smaller-sized face and neck, how can I solve this problem?
A. The Uprightsleeper is 100% adjustable. Don’t be timid about manipulating it to fit your unique size. You can also pull the chin pocket area up and rest that chin pocket on your forehead instead of on your chin. This application works very well for people with a smaller body/face size.
Q. I am 5’2″ tall and the back strap is a little too long for me to get a snug fit of the Uprightsleeper under my chin, what do you suggest?
A. The patented back strap has a hook and loop adjustment that makes it possible to shorten the back strap by several inches, allowing for a perfect fit.
Q. The chin rest feels like it is pressing on my throat area; is that how it is supposed to fit?
A. No. The soft chin rest is designed to sit directly under the bony part of your chin. By bending and squeezing the unique UpRightSleeper TM into the shape that custom fits your chin/jaw area, movement of the chin rest toward your neck area will be eliminated.
Q. I am allergic to latex and other rubbers; Is the Uprightsleeper going to be a problem for me?
A. The Uprightsleeper is latex free, anti-microbial and wipe-able It is constructed of non-toxic materials that are not known to cause dermatitis or any other skin conditions. The material can be wiped with water and mild soap or use hand wipes that are safe for sensitive skin to keep your Uprightsleeper clean. If you experience any skin issues during or after use of the Uprightsleeper please seek medical advice.
Q. My dog chewed on my Uprightsleeper and I think he swallowed some. Should I be concerned?
A. If you know your dog ingested some of the Uprightsleeper material, do not induce vomiting without medical advice. In any case of doubt, please seek medical help.
Q. The sides of the Uprightsleeper are rubbing on my earrings and it is uncomfortable. What can I do about that?
A. The Uprightsleeper is 100% adjustable. Simply make the chin-rest area move upward by pushing inward toward the body and upward toward the head. This maneuver will adjust the side areas to where they are below your ear area.
Q. Do I have to attach the UpRightSleeper Youth Pillow to my child before she falls asleep? This probably would not go over very well with her as she is very active until she falls asleep.
A. No. The Youth Pillow was designed to be available at the moment your child falls asleep and to be easy to use. Simply put the Youth Pillow on your child after the carseat belts are fastened and adjust it to fit according to the instruction sheet. Then undo one side of the hook and loop closure and allow the Youth Pillow to hang or tuck it back out of the way. When your child falls asleep, simply slide the Pillow under her chin, lifting the head gently until the neck looks comfortably aligned, then attach the other side strap to hold the Pillow in that position.
